Mr. Dechen Choling
CEO, DCCLHe holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Kerala, India (2002), a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MScE) from the University of New Brunswick, Canada (2009), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Canberra, Australia (2021). He worked at Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) from October 2002 to 2022. He served as General Manager of the Strategic Planning & Business Development Department in Thimphu from 2019 to June 2022, and as General Manager of the Renewable Energy Department from 2016 to 2019. Previously, he served as Project Engineer for the National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC) under BPC—now an independent Bhutan Power System Operator (BPSO)—from 2009 to 2011. He began his career at BPC as a Deputy Manager for Rural Electrification in six eastern districts of Bhutan, a role he held from 2002 to 2005.

He served as Head – Quality in Dungsam Cement Corporation Limited. Prior to joining Dungsam Cement Corporation Limited he served as Head – Production and Quality control in Penden Cement Authority Limited (PCAL).
